Some of our Success Stories

"An update on Rose: I adopted her from HERO back in September of 2009 and she is now in Mocksville, happily learning to be a jumper. In the past couple of years we've also blazed the trails of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Boone while she was with me during my time in school at Appalachian State. Adopting her has been the best decision I've ever made and an absolute dream come true. She's such a smart girl and so easy to work with and teach. I cannot imagine my life without her now.
Thank you for all you do for these wonderful horses!" -Monica

‚ÄčAlong with a few other palominos, Amber came to H.E.R.O. thin, neglected, and pregnant! She gave birth to a healthy palomino foal a few weeks later. His handsome father, Hamlet, and his young sister, Cressida, have also been adopted. These are very sweet, sound horses who are now enjoying different jobs with their riders. We are thrilled to see them in homes where they are appreciated.
