.Sat Feb 29th, 1pm- Our Annual Meeting. Rural Hall Fire Dept.
177 Hwy 65 East Rural Hall. HERO will provide turkey, ham and paper products. Everyone needs to bring a side dish or desert. There is additional parking in school next door if needed. This will be a social event and information session. The HERO board will bring everyone up to date on 2019 activities and expectations for 2020. We are very excited! We will begin having training for any volunteers who wish to learn more about caring for horses.
Our goal for 2020 is to relaunch HERO. We have worked very hard this past year to update our bylaws and policies. There has been a flurry of activity not obvious to everyone and we will update you at the annual meeting.
Membership information-Beginning this year we will be offering membership packages. Everyone who participates in HERO is a volunteer. A member will have the opportunity to volunteer and vote/participate in decision making opportunities. 100 percent of the membership dues will be returned to HERO for future training and organization expenses (meals, educational speaker expenses, etc.)
Membership Dues are as follows:
General (Individual) membership $25.00/year
Family membership $40.00/year. Any person who resides in same household can be considered for family membership. A family membership shall be entitled for up to 2 votes in the issues addressed by the General membership.
Lifetime membership $100. These are for the lifetime of the member entitled to 1 vote in the issues addressed by the General membership.
HERO BOARD~ It is time for voting and nominations! The positions include President (currently held by Shelly Hethcoat), Vice President (currently held by Deb Finney), Treasurer (Currently held by Bev Duval) and secretary (empty). ***The deadline for nominating a officer is midnight January 26th*** You can go to our website and post your nomination or respond to this email. Also if you would like to become a member you can submit payment through PayPal on our website.
Please try to RSVP for our annual meeting to assist with planning. You will have a chance to meet fellow volunteers and the board members.
Tentative First day of Training/Orientation for new members and anyone interested will be Sat March 21. More to follow...
